Each week, Dr. Wright focuses on a different national or community grant priority.

Using our 25 Monday Grant Planning & Readiness Workbooks and 25 matching Thursday Grant Writing Workbooks, we'll explore priority areas such as housing, homelessness, reentry, workforce development, health, education, youth, economic development, artificial intelligence, arts and culture, community development, and more.

But this isn't just another class where you listen to someone talk about grants.

WE'RE GOING TO WORK THROUGH THE PROCESS TOGETHER.

Each week, we'll use a fictional organization—or a volunteer nonprofit or social entrepreneur from our audience whose mission aligns with the week's priority—as our live case study.

We'll combine Dr. Wright's workbooks with Grant Builder Pro Max and Budget Builder Pro Max to research, plan, assess readiness, find potential funding opportunities, and develop a working grant draft.

FIND THE FUNDING.

Monday is our research and grant-readiness day.

We begin with the week's Grant Planning & Readiness Workbook to better understand the featured national priority and the types of programs, services, research, partnerships, outcomes, and documentation associated with that funding area.

Then we apply what we're learning to our weekly case-study organization.

STEP 1 — RESEARCH THE WEEKLY PRIORITY

We'll use the Monday Readiness Workbook to explore the week's priority and research the information needed to develop a stronger program.

Depending on the topic, we may examine:

✓ Target populations
✓ Program models and strategies
✓ Needs assessments
✓ Goals and measurable objectives
✓ Program activities and services
✓ Theory of Change and logic models
✓ Partnerships and collaborations
✓ Outcomes and evaluation

STEP 2 — COMPLETE THE PROGRAM-SPECIFIC QUESTIONNAIRE

Next, we'll use our research to populate the Program-Specific Questionnaire in Grant Builder Pro Max.

The questionnaire becomes an important foundation for the rest of our work.

Instead of asking AI to create a program from a few sentences, we're giving the GBP–BBP Genius researched, structured information about the organization, community need, target population, program design, activities, goals, outcomes, partnerships, and other important elements.

STEP 3 — BUILD & ALIGN THE BUDGET

Next, we'll use the Budget Builder Pro Max Budget Builder and Budget Narrative Builder to develop and better align the program budget.

We'll work through the relationship between:

PROGRAM ACTIVITIES → RESOURCES → COSTS → BUDGET → BUDGET NARRATIVE

The goal is to make sure the program plan and budget tell the same story.

Information developed during this process will help strengthen the budget portion of our Monday questionnaire.

STEP 4 — ARE WE RAGGEDY OR READY™?

NOW WE TEST OUR FUNDING READINESS.

Once our research, questionnaire, and preliminary budget information are developed, we'll run the Raggedy or Ready™ Profile in Grant Builder Pro Max.

The question isn't just:

"CAN WE FIND A GRANT?"

We also need to ask:

"ARE WE READY FOR THE FUNDING?"

Together, we'll review the readiness results and identify strengths, gaps, missing information, or organizational areas that may need additional attention.

This gives participants an opportunity to see the difference between simply wanting funding and actually preparing to pursue funding.

STEP 5 — NOW LET'S FIND THE GRANTS

After reviewing our Raggedy or Ready™ Profile, we'll use the Grant Finder in Grant Builder Pro Max.

Because we've already developed our Program-Specific Questionnaire, the GBP–BBP Genius has much more information to assist us in exploring funding opportunities that may align with our case-study organization and program.

We'll review potential grants and ask:

✓ Does the grant align with our program?
✓ Does it align with the week's priority?
✓ Are we potentially eligible?
✓ Does the funder support the population we want to serve?
✓ Do our proposed activities fit the funding opportunity?
✓ Are we organizationally ready to pursue it?
✓ What additional research or documentation would we need?

MONDAY'S GOAL:

By the end of Monday, we want to move from:

And then we come back Thursday.

USE MONDAY'S RESEARCH & READINESS WORK TO BUILD THE GRANT DRAFT.

Thursday continues with the same weekly priority and the work we developed Monday.

We'll use the matching Grant Writing Workbook to better understand how to approach grant writing for that particular priority.

The workbook helps us examine common grant components, sample documents, and the relationship between the funder's questions and the information we researched and developed Monday.

STEP 1 — UNDERSTAND THE GRANT-WRITING PROCESS

Before asking the Genius to help draft anything, we'll examine what the funder is asking for.

We'll explore areas such as:

✓ Target Population
✓ Goals and Objectives
✓ Program Activities
✓ Organizational Capacity

The objective is to understand why the questions are being asked and what information a strong response may require.

STEP 2 — CONNECT THE GRANT TO MONDAY'S QUESTIONNAIRE

Now we'll return to the research and Program-Specific Questionnaire developed Monday.

We'll examine how the information we've already developed can help us answer the selected grant's questions.

This is where participants begin seeing the connection between:

STEP 4 — REVIEW THE DRAFT

AI DOESN'T GET THE LAST WORD.

Creating the draft is not the end of the process.

We'll review what the Genius helped us develop and discuss where the draft may need additional research, clarification, customization, supporting evidence, organizational information, or human judgment.

Participants learn to ask:

✓ Did we answer the funder's actual question?
✓ Is the response supported by our research?
✓ Does the narrative match our program design?
✓ Does the budget support the activities?
✓ Are the goals and outcomes measurable?
✓ Is information missing?
✓ Does anything need to be verified?
✓ What needs to be strengthened before submission?

THE GOAL IS A WORKING GRANT DRAFT — NOT A FINISHED APPLICATION.

Every funder has different requirements, eligibility rules, questions, attachments, deadlines, and submission procedures.

Our goal during the workshop is to demonstrate how research, readiness, human expertise, structured organizational information, and AI assistance can work together to develop a stronger starting draft.

The organization must still review, verify, customize, strengthen, and complete the application according to the specific funder's requirements.
